ROTEIRO 6 - Walking (to and from Capão by car) Fumaça Waterfall TOTAL DISTANCE: 140 km by car and 14 km on foot Take shoes, hat swimming clothes, sun cream, water and food. An all day trip. Drive 45 mins to the town of Palmeiras and then 45 mins on a dirt track with spectacular views of the Morrao Hill to the Valley of Capao where the walk begins. Easy walking but steep uphill at the beginning of the walk, and down hill at the end of the walk can be tiring. After seeing the Fumaça waterfall 10 minutes by car and 5 minutes on foot to swim in the Riachinho Waterfall. |

CACHOEIRA DA FUMAÇA – SMOKE (GLASS) WATERFALL
Distance from Lençóis: 76km(18km on dirt road) Time: 1.5 hrs by car and 2hrs 30min. on foot. An easy but steep and tiring walk to the top of the highest waterfall in Brazil, approx. 400m. The top of the Waterfall stands at an altitude of 1200m.The view from the top is spectacular. (It is also possible to reach the bottom of the waterfall on foot from Lençóis, see Longer Trip 5). |

MORRÃO (MONTE TABOR) – BIG HILL (MOUNT TABOR)
This spectacular table mountain which stands alone in the valley is viewed from all angles. From the car on the way to Capao and from the trail to and from the Fumaca waterfall. (To climb to the top see Longer Trip 4) |

CACHOEIRA DO RIACHINHO - RIACHINHO WATERFALL
Distance from Lençóis: 74km(16km on dirt road) Time: 1.5 hrs by car and 10min. on foot. After the walk to the fumaca waterfall the Riachinho Waterfall and its deep pool offers the perfect opportunity to swim and cool off at the end of the day. |
