ROTEIRO 1 - Walking Serrano
TOTAL DISTANCE: 7 km on foot This is an easy walk suitable for all abilities including children. It is possible to see all of the above attractions in less than a day’s easy walk, the duration of the trip depends on how long you you wish to stay at each location. For those wishing to take it easy it is possible to visit any of the attractions separately. |

SERRANO Distance from Lençóis: 1 km. Time: 15 min. on foot. Starting from the town centre it is only 15 minutes walk to you first stop Serrano. This is a collection of small pools formed by the River Lençóis overlooking the town. It is a good places to bathe, can be dangerous when the river is very full. |

SALÃO DE AREIA – SAND HALLS Distance from Lençóis: 1,5 km Time: 20 min. on foot From Serrano, it is a further 15 minutes walk to Salão de Areia - Sand Hills. This is a labyrinth of large sand stones which form a series of halls, very easy to get lost in. The stones themselves crumble to form coloured sands used in the making of the sand bottles seen in craft shops in Lençóis.

CACHOEIRINHA – LITTLE WATERFALL Distance from Lençóis: 1,5 km Time: 20mins on foot Leaving Salão de Areia it is only a further 15 minutes walk to Cachoeirinha. This pretty waterfall is approximately 7 metres high with a shallow pool below. Good place for a “power shower” and for children to paddle. |

CACHOEIRA DA PRIMAVERA – SPRING WATERFALL Distance from Lençóis: 4km Time: 45 min on foot From Cachoeirinha it is a further 25 minutes walk, sometimes steep, to Cachoeira da Primavera. This waterfall is approximately 4 metres high. For the return, another path can be taken with spectacular views over Lençóis. For the more adventurous Cachoeira da Primavera can also be accessed by following the river bed. There is a further option to visit the HALLEY POOL, a small swimming hole, ideal for a lazy afternoon. |
